Jordan Smith joined the Lenoir-Rhyne staff as the Assistant Director for Academic Success in the fall of 2024.
Smith comes to LR after a year-long fellowship at Elon University, where she worked in their Student Professional Development Center and did career advising for athletes and the school of communications. Prior to her time at Elon, Smith was a graduate assistant for Academic Services for Student Athletes at Appalachian State. While at App, she she worked with softball, men's golf, and track and field. In addition to the athletes, she also worked with Greek life and orientation. In addition to her time at Elon and App State, she also has experience as an apprentice at Texas A&M and as a 7th Grade teacher.
Originally from Durham, North Carolina, Smith graduated from William Peace University in 2020 with a double major in middle school education and history and American Studies. She received a Master of Arts in Student Affairs Administration from Appalachian State in 2023.
