Katrina DeVore serves as Senior Associate Athletic Director for Internal Operations and Senior Woman Administrator (SWA) for LR Athletics, a role she assumed in July 2023. DeVore previously served as the Assistant Athletic Director and Associate Head Athletic Trainer, and she has held the SWA designation at Lenoir-Rhyne in past roles as well.
In her position, DeVore is a key member of the executive leadership team for LR Athletics. She oversees all internal operations of the department, serving as the chief financial officer and leading areas such as business operations, budget management, compliance support, facilities and game day operations, and team transportation.
DeVore acts as a primary liaison with critical campus departments including Human Resources, Student Life, Admissions, Housing, Financial Aid, and Academic Support. She also holds sport oversight responsibilities and plays a central role in shaping departmental policies to align with evolving institutional, South Atlantic Conference (SAC), and NCAA regulations.
As the SWA, DeVore serves on the SAC Athletics Council and represents LR on various conference and NCAA committees.
During her tenure as Assistant AD, DeVore played a significant leadership role in several campus-wide initiatives. She served on the athletics administrative team, co-chaired the Athletics Diversity and Inclusion Committee, and led Title IX sexual assault education programming in partnership with the campus Title IX office. She also contributed to gender equity planning, alcohol and drug education efforts, and the relaunch of the Apple Club—an NCAA-backed initiative focused on substance abuse prevention and student-athlete wellness. In 2023, she led a student-athlete group to the NCAA Apple Institute and completed Mental Health First Aid "Train the Trainer" certification through the NCICU.
DeVore has been actively involved with the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and spearheaded the planning of the Bears Choice Awards for two consecutive years.
A 2014 graduate of Lenoir-Rhyne’s Athletic Training Master’s Program, DeVore returned to her alma mater in 2017 as an athletic trainer, primarily covering women’s soccer, softball, and spirit teams. She was a key member of LR's COVID Task Force, leading health protocols and return-to-play planning. She also served as the department’s MD Liaison, drug testing coordinator, and oversaw emergency action planning. As Associate Head Athletic Trainer, she provided mentorship and supervision for the athletic training staff and interns.
DeVore’s leadership, dedication, and wide-ranging experience continue to make a significant impact on the student-athlete experience and the success of Lenoir-Rhyne Athletics.
