Will Cunningham was named the Director of Athletic Facilities and Operations at Lenoir-Rhyne University in the Winter of 2025. In this role, he is responsible for the management of athletic venues and the coordination of game day logistics.
Prior to joining Lenoir-Rhyne, Cunningham served as the Running Backs and Fullbacks Coach and Offensive Graduate Assistant for the Norwich University football team. His professional background also includes two years as a commodity lumber trader from 2023 to 2025, and as a campus and athletic facilities student employee at his alma mater, Saint Anselm College, from 2021 to 2023.
A former student-athlete himself, Cunningham earned a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Saint Anselm College in 2023 while playing football for the Hawks. While serving as a member of the team's leadership council, he also earned all-conference accolades for his performance on the field and school accolades for his character - including being named to the NE-10 All-Rookie Team in 2019 and earning the 2022-2023 Saint Anselm College Athletic Training Staff's Perseverance Award winner.Â
Cunningham is a Florida native and attended Olympic Heights Community High School. He played football while also competing in competitive weightlifting, both the local high school and national levels. He is the son of Bill and Cheryl Cunningham and has two sisters - Courtney and Kaylee.
