The Eagles, who trailed 2-1 in the match, won by scores of 22-25, 25-23, 22-25, 25-20 and 15-7.? Lenoir-Rhyne was playing its first home match in over a month.

L-R freshman setter Meredith Lutz (Newton, N.C.) tallied 51 assists and 14 digs while sophomore outside hitter Lindsey Cantu (Orlando, Fla.) added a match-high 18 kills and 12 digs despite the setback.? Senior outside hitter Jordan Ledford (Newton, N.C.) finished with 14 kills as well in the losing effort.

Carson-Newman, which held a 16-3 advantage in blocks, was led by Katie Troyer (Plain City, Ohio) with 17 kills and Angelle Hayes (Brentwood, Tenn.) with a match-high 24 kills in the victory.?

Stephanie Cutter (Murfreesboro, Tenn.) added 41 assists as the Eagles pushed their winning streak to four matches, all against South Atlantic Conference opponents.

Lenoir-Rhyne next hosts league-opponent Lincoln Memorial on Saturday at 2 p.m., while Carson-Newman visits SAC-foe Brevard on Saturday beginning at 1 p.m., in Brevard, N.C.
