Tusculum Volleyball Sweeps Lenoir-Rhyne, 3-0, In South Atlantic Conference Action Friday Night

Hickory, N.C. ? The Tusculum College Volleyball Team (12-9, 3-4) swept Lenoir-Rhyne University (14-8, 2-5), 3-0, Friday evening in a South Atlantic Conference match at Shuford Memorial Gymnasium.? The Pioneers won by scores of 25-21, 25-20 and 25-16.

L-R was led by senior outside hitter Kassi Henry (Denver, N.C.) with seven kills while sophomore libero Marrissa Church (Statesville, N.C.) added 20 digs despite the loss.?

Freshman setter Meredith Lutz (Statesville, N.C.) finished with 25 assists and eight digs for the Bears in the losing effort.

Tusculum was led by Bailee Price (Fort Wayne, Ind.) with a team-high 13 kills and 12 digs while Peyton Colclough (Manassas, Va.) added 31 assists and seven digs in the victory.? The Pioneers? Gina Coffaro (Cincinnati, Ohio) totaled eight kills and a team-high 18 digs as well.

Lenoir-Rhyne remains at home when it faces conference-foe Newberry on Homecoming Saturday beginning at Noon while Tusculum travels to Brevard, N.C., to take on Brevard Saturday at 1 p.m.
