Misenheimer, N.C. ? The Lenoir-Rhyne University Volleyball Team won twice Saturday afternoon at the Pfeiffer Tri-Match in Merner Gymnasium.? L-R defeated Pfeiffer (3-1) and Virginia Union (3-0) to improve to 12-11 on the year and increase its winning streak to four matches.
Lenoir-Rhyne 3, Pfeiffer 1 (23-25, 26-24, 25-23 and 25-10)
After falling in the first set, the Bears rolled off three straight set victories to take the match.
Junior outside hitter Brooke Christenbury (Mooresville, N.C.) finished with a team-high 11 kills while freshman setter Kaitlyn Burton (Mills River, N.C.) added a double-double with 38 assists and 13 digs to lead the Bears to the win.
Pfeiffer?s Kim Amerell (Lynchburg, Va.) and Kristina Mordini (Freeport, Ill.) tallied 19 and 13 kills, respectively, despite the setback.

The Bears dispatched the Lady Trojans in just 46 minutes en route to the three-set sweep.
Sophomore outside hitter Katelin Wensley (Advance, N.C.) finished with a match-high 10 kills while Burton added 25 assists for Lenoir-Rhyne.
In the third set, Wensley served 16 straight points as the Bears jumped out to an 18-1 advantage and never looked back.
