USC Aiken Women's Basketball Takes Care Of Lenoir-Rhyne, 70-41

Aiken, S.C. - The USC Aiken Women's Basketball Team (6-2) defeated Lenoir-Rhyne University (4-2), 70-41, Monday evening at the Convocation Center.? The Lady Pacers also snapped the Bears' four-game winning streak in the process.

USC Aiken's Tiffani Moody (Raleigh, N.C.) finished with a team-high 11 points as the Lady Pacers limited the Bears to just 28 percent shooting (14-of-50) for the contest.

L-R was led by junior guard Cameron Sealey's (Mount Holly, N.C.) game-high 13 points but the Bears scored their least points in a single game in four seasons.

USC Aiken held a 28-23 advantage at intermission before breaking the game open with a 14-1 run to start the second half.?

Lexy Williams' (Aiken, S.C.) three-pointer with 15:43 left concluded the run that pushed the Lady Pacers' lead to 42-24.

Hannah DeGraffinreed (Raleigh, N.C.) and Deandra Schirmer (Holton, Kan.) added nine points each for USC Aiken, who led by as many as 30 en route to the win.

Sophomore forward Precious Elkins (Conyers, Ga.) finished with six points while sophomore guard Whitley Culler (Mount Airy, N.C.) pulled down a game-high eight rebounds in the losing effort for the Bears.

Lenoir-Rhyne next plays Mars Hill in a South Atlantic Conference contest Saturday in Mars Hill, N.C., beginning at 2 p.m.? USC Aiken, meanwhile, opens Peach Belt Conference play Wednesday when it hosts Francis Marion at 5:30 p.m.
