Hickory, N.C. - The Lincoln Memorial University Volleyball Team (21-6, 11-6) defeated Lenoir-Rhyne University (12-14, 5-12), 3-1, in a South Atlantic Conference match Friday evening at Shuford Memorial Gymnasium.? The Lady Railsplitters won by scores of 26-24, 23-25, 25-14 and 25-19.

Lincoln Memorial, which clinched the third seed in next week's 2010 Food Lion SAC Volleyball Tournament, was led by Ashley Knight's (Palm Harbor, Fla.) 15 kills and 10 digs.?

Candace Richardson (Houston, Texas) added 14 kills and Lauren Kiwacka (Tipp City, Ohio) finished with 30 assists and 16 digs for the Lady Railsplitters, who swept the season series from the Bears.

L-R junior outside hitter Brooke Christenbury (Mooresville, N.C.) continued her strong play of late as she tallied a match-high 20 kills while freshman setter Kaitlyn Burton (Mills River, N.C.) added 42 assists in the losing effort.

Junior libero Marrissa Church (Statesville, N.C.) chipped in with a match-high 20 assists for the Bears, who suffered their third straight loss.
