The Lenoir-Rhyne University Football Team signed 28 players from five different states to national letters-of-intent on national signing day for the upcoming 2011 season.

Hickory, N.C. - The Lenoir-Rhyne University Football Team and Head Coach Fred Goldsmith has signed 28 players to national letters-of-intent for the 2011 season on the first day of national signing day.

The group includes players from five different states.? Leading the way is the state of Georgia with 12 followed by North Carolina (eight), South Carolina (four), Virginia (two) and Florida (two).

Lenoir-Rhyne looks to build on last season's 7-4 record, the team's first winning campaign since 1994.

The position with the most signees is defensive back with?eight followed by running back with five and linebacker and defensive line with four each.
