Lenoir-Rhyne freshman setter Briana Gottberg led the way for 12 kills and 19 assists in the Bears' 3-0 sweep over Limestone Tuesday night at Shuford Memorial Gymnasium.

Hickory, N.C. - The Lenoir-Rhyne Volleyball Team (9-5) stepped out of conference play Tuesday night and swept Limestone (3-13), 3-0, at Shuford Memorial Gymnasium.? The Bears beat the Saints by scores of 25-16, 25-23 and 25-18.

Lenoir-Rhyne freshman setter Briana Gottberg (Mooresville, N.C.) led the way with 12 kills and 19 assists as the Bears improved to 5-0 at home this season.

Freshman outside hitter Morgan Bunker (Mount Airy, N.C.) added 10 kills and 11 digs as the Bears won their second consecutive game.

L-R senior setter Meredith Lutz (Newton, N.C.) also dished out 19 assists and sophomore defensive specialist Emily Culler (Mount Airy, N.C.) totaled a match-high 12 digs as well.

Limestone was led by Emylee Gotsch (Deland, Fla.) with nine kills while Jessica Onken (Derby, Kan.) added 24 assists and seven digs despite the loss.

Lenoir-Rhyne returns to South Atlantic Conference play on Friday when the Bears host Mars Hill at 7:00 p.m., at Shuford Memorial Gymnasium.

Limestone, meanwhile, returns home to face Coker in a Conference Carolinas contest on Friday evening beginning at 7:00 p.m., as well?in Gaffney, S.C.
