Banner Elk, N.C. - The Lenoir-Rhyne Volleyball Team (15-6) defeated both Lees-McRae (3-0) and Lander (3-2) Saturday on the final day of the Lees-McRae Tournament at Williams Gymnasium to increase its winning streak to four matches.

The Bears defeated the host Bobcats by scores of 25-13, 25-23 and 25-21.
L-R sophomore outside hitter Haley Rhyne (Statesville, N.C.) led the way with a match-high 17 kills while senior setter Meredith Lutz (Newton, N.C.) dished out 38 assists for the Bears in the victory.
Lees-McRae, who fell to 10-13 on the year with the loss, was paced by Taylor Clendenin (Statesville, N.C.) with nine kills.

The Bears rallied from two sets down to prevail over the Bearcats by scores of 23-25, 24-26, 25-22, 25-21 and 15-6.
Four players tallied 10 or more kills for the Bears including sophomore outside hitter Kiaya Robinson (Chapel Hill, N.C.) and Rhyne with 15 and 14 kills, respectively. Lutz added a double-double (53 assists and 15 digs) and sophomore return specialist Emily Culler (Mount Airy, N.C.) tallied a match-high 29 digs in the win.
For Lander (11-11), Kaitlyn Harrison (Normal, Ill.) finished with a match-high 23 kills and Jessica Register (Spartanburg, S.C.) added 50 assists and 17 digs despite the loss.
