Hickory, N.C. – The Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Basketball Team (7-3) won its fifth straight game with a 79-60 victory over Davis & Elkins (8-2) Monday afternoon at Shuford Memorial Gymnasium.

Madi Suddreth (Taylorsville, N.C.) led the way with a team-high 19 points while senior forward
Morgan Cooper (Virginia Beach, Va.) added 16 points off the bench in the victory.
Davis & Elkins, who saw its five-game winning streak come to an end, was paced by Stephanie Wooten (Lincolnton, N.C.) with a game-high 27 points. However, Wooten was the lone player to score in double figures for the Senators.
Lenoir-Rhyne held a 68-60 advantage with 4:25 left in the contest before ending the game by scoring the final 11 points.
The Bears also held a 48-35 edge in rebounding and improved to 6-0 at home this year.
In addition, Lenoir-Rhyne won its 13th straight contest at Shuford Memorial Gymnasium dating back to last year.
Lenoir-Rhyne returns to action on Saturday, December 31, in a South Atlantic Conference game against Catawba beginning at 2:00 p.m., in Salisbury, N.C. Davis & Elkins next takes on Ursuline on Thursday, January 5, in Pepper Pike, Ohio, at 5:30 p.m.
