Salisbury, N.C. – The Lenoir-Rhyne Men's Tennis Team (4-6, 1-3) fell in a close, 5-4 South Atlantic Conference contest to Catawba (6-8, 1-3) Tuesday afternoon at the Johnson Tennis Center.
Lenoir-Rhyne won at No. 1 and No. 2 singles – senior Patrick Bauer (Helmstedt, GERMANY) and sophomore Tomas Hons (Valasske Mezirici, CZECH REPUBLIC), respectively – while senior Filip Dobrosavljevic (Cacak, SERBIA) prevailed in singles and doubles action despite the loss for the Bears.
Lenoir-Rhyne takes on Coker in a South Atlantic Conference match on Saturday afternoon at 1:00 p.m., in Hartsville, S.C. Catawba faces Carson-Newman in Jefferson City, Tenn., in a league contest Thursday at 2:00 p.m.
