Rock Hill, S.C. – Lenoir-Rhyne University’s Roman Davis has been selected to the South Atlantic Conference Hall Of Fame as part of the Class of 2016.

Davis was one of the most decorated men’s basketball players in school history.  Davis was the first-ever two-time South Atlantic Conference Player Of The Year (2003-04 and 2004-05) and is still one of only three players in league history reach that milestone.

In addition, Davis was the 2004-05 South Atlantic Conference Male Athlete Of The Year and was a three-time all-league first-team honoree.  Davis was also the 2001-02 SAC Men’s Basketball Freshman Of The Year and a first-team all-region honoree as a senior.

Davis ranks seventh all-time in school history in both points scored (1,619) and field goal percentage (55 percent) and his 147 career blocks is No. 4 in program history.

Davis, who averaged 15.3 points per game for his career, led the Bears to the SAC Regular Season Championship in both 2002-03 and 2003-04 and the 2003 Food Lion South Atlantic Conference Tournament Championship.  Lenoir-Rhyne also made the NCAA Division II Playoffs in 2003 and 2004.

Davis currently plays overseas in Montenegro in the FIBA for Team Kosarkaski.  He was named the 2008 Imola Summer League Player of the Year as a member of Indesti Fabriano in Italy.  Davis has also played in Mexico and toured with the Harlem Globetrotters for five years.  In the offseason, Davis works for Novant Health in the organization’s insurance sector.
