Bears ranked 14th in Winter Learfield Directors' Cup Standings

HICKORY, N.C. - Lenoir-Rhyne sits at 14th in the Winter Learfield Directors Cup Standings, a 28-spot jump from it's spot in the Fall standings.

The Bears finished with 213 winter points thanks to deep runs from men's and women's basketball, as well as strong national performances from the indoor track & field teams. Both basketball teams earned 64 points due to their regional championship appearances, men's track & field picked up 56 thanks to their 18th place finish, and women's track & field grabbed 29 thanks to their 43rd place finish at nationals.

The Bears currently have a total of 336 points, just three behind University of Colorado Colorado Springs and 11 from fellow SAC foe Catawba. Lenoir-Rhyne joins Wingate (3), Catawba (12), Anderson (35), and Carson-Newman (43) as South Atlantic Conference schools ranked in the top-50. The Bears are searching for their first top-ten finish in program history, as they were 12th in the year end standings in both 2022-23 and 2023-24.

The final standings will be released on June 9th, taking postseason results from men's & women's lacrosse, men's & women's golf, softball, baseball, men's & women's tennis, and men's & women's track and field.
