Lenoir-Rhyne's Kevin Baxter Advances To The Outdoor Track And Field Finals Of The Men's 110-Meter Hurdles

Bradenton, Fla. – Lenoir-Rhyne University's Kevin Baxter has advanced to the finals of the men's 110-meter hurdles at the 2016 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships at the IMG Academy.

In the preliminaries on Friday, the senior from Columbia, S.C., finished second in his heat with a wind-aided 13.94 seconds.  The finals on Saturday take place at 5:55 p.m.  Minnesota State Mankato's Myles Hunter had the top time coming out of the preliminaries at 13.71 seconds.

Baxter is a two-time NCAA Division II All-American (2014-15) in the event after finishing fourth and eighth, respectively, in the finals of the national championship the past two seasons. Baxter is also the 2014 and 2016 South Atlantic Conference Champion in the men's 110-meter hurdles.
