Hickory, N.C. – The Lincoln Memorial Women's Basketball Team (19-0, 14-0), ranked No. 6 in NCAA Division II, remained unbeaten on the season with a 77-57 victory over Lenoir-Rhyne (12-8, 8-6) Saturday afternoon in a South Atlantic Conference game at Shuford Memorial Gymnasium.

Shea Coker (Knoxville, Tenn.) and Megan Pittman (Liberty, Ky.) finished with 19 points each as the Lady Railsplitters remained three games ahead of the rest of the league in the standings.

Lincoln Memorial took over in the final period – outscoring the Bears by a 20-6 margin – in sweeping the season series from Lenoir-Rhyne.

Lenoir-Rhyne senior forward Brooke Robinson (Vale, N.C.) and junior guard Justyce Swango (Virginia Beach, Va.) finished with 13 points each but the Bears suffered their second straight setback.

The Bears shot just 32 percent (nine-of-28) in the second half and hit just three of 18 treys in the loss.  Lenoir-Rhyne sophomore forward Madi Suddreth (Taylorsville, N.C.) added a double-double – 12 points and 10 rebounds – and the Bears blocked six shots on the day.

In the next round of South Atlantic Conference games on Wednesday evening at 6:00 p.m., Lenoir-Rhyne hosts Catawba while Lincoln Memorial faces Brevard on the road in Brevard, N.C.
