Salisbury, N.C. – The Lenoir-Rhyne University Women's Soccer Team (11-4-1, 6-2-1) continues its hot streak of late with a big South Atlantic Conference victory on the road, 3-2 over Catawba (6-9, 3-6), Wednesday night at the Frock Complex. LR has now won three consecutive matches.

• Trailing by a 1-0 score at halftime, the Bears hit the throttle with three straight goals – courtesy of senior defender

Abbie Brown (Leeds, ENGLAND) – to take control. Brown now has a team-leading six goals on the season while Van Eerden has four scores on the year.
• Catawba's Abbie Bensted (Bayford, ENGLAND) scored with 1:35 left to cut the margin to 3-2 but the Bears were able to hold on for the victory.
• Lenoir-Rhyne senior goalkeeper
Alayna Morris (Westminster, Md.) earned the win for the Bears while Shelby Thompson (Charlotte, N.C.) suffered the loss for the Indians in goal despite making three stops. Morris made a save.
• Lenoir-Rhyne also held a 14-4 edge in shots taken and a 7-2 advantage in the victory.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
• Lenoir-Rhyne is guaranteed no worse than fifth place in the South Atlantic Conference standings.
• The Bears also moved over .500 (4-3-1) on the year in road contests.
• Catawba's losing streak has now hit four matches.
