Hickory, N.C. – The Lenoir-Rhyne University Women's Soccer Team responded after falling four days ago with a 2-0 victory over Mars Hill Wednesday night at the Moretz Sports – Athletic Complex.

STATS OF THE MATCH:
• Lenoir-Rhyne scored both goals in the first half: junior midfielder
Abbie Brown (Leeds, ENGLAND) and freshman midfielder
Stephanie Figueiredo (Wilmington, Mass.). The goal was Brown's team-leading fourth of the season.
• Lenoir-Rhyne held a 23-5 advantage in shots taken and notched its fifth shutout of the year. Senior goalkeeper
Alayna Morris (Westminster, Md.) made three saves in the victory.
• Mars Hill's goalkeeper, Kaitlyn Danglemaier (Brighton, Mich.), stopped 13 shots despite the loss.
