Lenoir-Rhyne Women’s Soccer Wins Second Straight Match, 3-1 Over Anderson

Hickory, N.C. – The Lenoir-Rhyne University Women's Soccer Team (7-3-1, 3-2-1) made it two victories in a row with a 3-1 win over Anderson (3-6-1, 2-4) Saturday evening at the Moretz Sports – Athletic Complex in a South Atlantic Conference contest.

STATS OF THE MATCH:
•    Lenoir-Rhyne junior midfielder Abbie Brown (Leeds, ENGLAND) and sophomore forward Hannah Van Eerden (Stokesdale, N.C.) both tallied a goal and an assist to lead the Bears.  Van Eerden's goal was just 18 seconds into the match
•    Lenoir-Rhyne sophomore Madi Kyle (High Point, N.C.) registered her first goal of the year while senior goalkeeper Alayna Morris (Westminster, Md.) earned the win after stopping three shots.
•    The Bears held a 20-6 edge in shots taken.
•    Lyssa Engle (Fairborn, Ohio) scored for the Trojans.
 
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
•    Brown ranks first on the team in goals scored (five) and total points (10) while Van Eerden tops the squad in assist (four).
