Hickory, N.C. – The Lenoir-Rhyne Volleyball Team (10-15, 6-13) fell to Newberry (9-17, 5-14) by a 3-2 score on Friday evening in a South Atlantic Conference match at Shuford Memorial Gymnasium. The Wolves won by scores of 13-25, 25-20, 18-25, 25-22 and 16-14.

STATS OF THE MATCH:
• The Wolves, who rallied from a 2-1 deficit, were led by Toni-Anne Whitlow (Poquoson, Va.) with 13 kills and Vanessa Blas (Concord, N.C.) with 11 kills in the victory.
• Lenoir-Rhyne freshman outside hitter Taylor Prall (Tipp City, Ohio) and senior outside hitter
Brooke Redmond (Statesville, N.C.) with 12 kills each while freshman setter Maggie Bogart (Shawnee, Kan.) added 10 kills, 22 assists and 12 digs in the loss.
• Despite the loss, the Bears totaled 19 blocks but hit just .105 for the match.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
• The Wolves swept the season series from the Bears.
