Mars Hill, N.C. – The Lenoir-Rhyne Men's Basketball Team (4-5, 2-2) ran its winning streak to three games with a South Atlantic Conference road victory over Mars Hill (2-8, 0-4), 74-55, Wednesday night at Stanford Arena.

STATS OF THE GAME:
• Lenoir-Rhyne was led by junior guard
Cory Thomas (Louisville, Ky.) with 17 points including 15 in the second half to key the Bears' offensive output after intermission.
• Redshirt freshman guard
Darius Simmons (Raleigh, N.C.) totaled 13 points to go along with four rebounds and two assists for the Bears, who scored 47 points after halftime.
• Mars Hill was led by Daniel Nassyr (Fayetteville, N.C.) and Austin Gilyard (Winston-Salem, N.C.) with 12 points each but the Lions were limited to just 33 percent shooting (22-of-66) for the contest. Mars Hill also hit just three-of-22 three-point attempts.
• Lenoir-Rhyne junior forward
Bertrand Awana (Yaounde, CAMEROON) had an impressive all-around game, totaling eight points, 12 rebounds and five blocked shots. Awana leads the league in blocks with 27.

• The Bears ran their winning streak to three games and earned their first victory on the road this year.
