Jefferson City, Tenn. – The Carson-Newman Men's Basketball Team (10-2, 4-2) rallied from a 17-point deficit early in the second half to down Lenoir-Rhyne (4-6, 2-3), 90-83, Saturday afternoon at the Holt Fieldhouse in a South Atlantic Conference game.

STATS OF THE GAME:
• Lenoir-Rhyne was led by senior guard
Jarvis Calhoun (Birmingham, Ala.) with a season-high 17 points while junior guard
Cory Thomas (Louisville, Ky.) added 16 points in the losing effort. Thomas continues to lead the Bears in scoring at 14.9 points per outing.
• Carson-Newman's scoring balance included six players in double figures. Malik Abraham (Snellville, Ga.) came off the bench to score a game-high 23 points for the Eagles, who rallied from a 64-47 deficit early in the second half to take the win.
• The Eagles hit all 15 free throw attempts and shot 52 percent (18-of-34) after halftime on their way to the victory. Carson-Newman's Mason Bates (Cookeville, Tenn.) neared a triple-double: 10 points, 10 assists and nine rebounds.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
• Lenoir-Rhyne, which saw its three-game winning streak come to an end, did hit a season-high 15 treys. Both Calhoun and senior guard
Reed Lucas (Greensboro, N.C.) hit five three-pointers each while Lucas totaled 15 points and became the 55th player to score the 1,000-point mark for his career.
