Hickory, N.C. – The Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Basketball Team (4-4, 1-2) was held in check in a 64-54 loss to Anderson (6-2, 1-0) Saturday afternoon in a South Atlantic Conference game at Shuford Memorial Gymnasium.

STATS OF THE GAME:
• Lenoir-Rhyne junior guard
Madi Suddreth (Taylorsville, N.C.), the Bears' leading scorer, once again led the way with 17 points in addition to eight rebounds, four assists, three steals and two blocks.
• LR senior center
Marie Ritchie (Taylorsville, N.C.) joined Suddreth in double figures, totaling 11 points while grabbing five rebounds.
• Lenoir-Rhyne held a 46-38 edge in rebounds but Anderson blocked nine shots and limited the Bears to just 29 percent (22-of-75) shooting for the game.
• Anderson, playing in its first league contest of the season, had five players in double figures and was led by Alexy Mollenhauer (Lindale, Texas) with 14 points.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
• Lenoir-Rhyne junior guard
Kendall Toineeta (Cherokee, N.C.) – who played nearly 40 minutes – finished with nine points and eight rebounds while junior guard
Ashley Rodriguez (Orlando, Fla.) played a career-high 15 minutes.
