No. 6 Lincoln Memorial Men’s Basketball Subdues Lenoir-Rhyne, 72-55

Hickory, N.C. – The Lincoln Memorial Men's Basketball Team (12-1, 6-0), ranked No. 6 in NCAA Division II, remained unbeaten in South Atlantic Conference play with a 72-55 win over Lenoir-Rhyne (4-8, 2-4) Saturday afternoon at Shuford Memorial Gymnasium.

STATS OF THE GAME:
•    Lincoln Memorial's Emanuel Terry (Enterprise, Ala.) spearheaded the Railsplitters' attack with 19 points and 15 rebounds while Dorian Pinson (Greenville, S.C.) added 18 points in the victory.
•    Lenoir-Rhyne junior guard Cory Thomas (Louisville, Ky.) led all scorers with 23 points – including 18 in the second half – in the losing effort.  LR junior forward Emmanuel Wembi (Charlotte, N.C.) also came off the bench and finished in double figures with 11 points.
•    The second half was the difference as Lincoln Memorial shot 60 percent (18-of-30) and scored 44 points in the win.  The Railsplitters also forced the Bears into 16 turnovers.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
•    In just his second start of the season, sophomore forward Filip Leskovar (Ljubljana, SLOVENIA) made an impact with seven points and nine rebounds.
•    Lincoln Memorial has a half-game lead over Queens in the league standings.  The Railsplitters came in averaging 98.0 points per game, fourth-best in the nation.
•    Thomas continues to lead the Bears in scoring at 14.7 points per outing.

UP NEXT:
In the next round of South Atlantic Conference games on Wednesday at 8:00 p.m., Lenoir-Rhyne hosts Catawba while Lincoln Memorial returns home to face Anderson.
