Hickory, N.C. – The Lenoir-Rhyne Men's Tennis Team (2-1) earned a 6-3 victory over Belmont Abbey (4-1) Saturday afternoon at Hickory High School. The Bears were playing their first home match of the spring campaign.
The Bears swept through all three doubles matches and were paced by sophomore
Hamed Gandouz (Hammam Sousse, TUNISIA), junior
Tomas Hons (Valasske Mezirici, CZECH REPUBLIC) and freshman
Tales Miranda (Sao Paulo, BRAZIL). All three players earned victories at singles and doubles competition for the Bears.
Lenoir-Rhyne remains at home to face Southern Wesleyan on Saturday, February 11, at Noon at Hickory High School. Belmont Abbey plays on the road against Wingate on Monday beginning at 2:30 p.m.
