Hickory, N.C. – The Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Lacrosse Team (5-3, 2-1) scored early and often in a 16-6 victory over Tusculum (4-6, 2-1) Saturday afternoon in a South Atlantic Conference game at Moretz Stadium.

Alyssa Sack (Senoia, Ga.) scored three goals while senior attacker
Torrey Schwitkis (San Diego, Calif.) added two goals and three assists as the Bears jumped out to a 10-1 advantage at intermission and never looked back.
Sack has a team-leading 18 goals on the year and the Bears' defense forced 15 turnovers and totaled 17 ground balls in the victory. Lenoir-Rhyne junior All-American goalkeeper
Ines Flueck (Coppell, Texas) played the first half and picked up the victory after tallying five saves.
For Tusculum, Emily Gleason (Brentwood, Tenn.) also scored three times but Brooke Wagner (Snellville, Ga.) suffered the loss in goal after stopping three shots.
Lenoir-Rhyne also held a 28-16 advantage in shots taken in the victory. In all, six Bears scored at least two goals in the contest.
Lenoir-Rhyne hits the road to take on Lincoln Memorial in Harrogate, Tenn., on Wednesday beginning at 4:00 p.m., while Tusculum hosts No. 7 Limestone Wednesday at 4:00 p.m.
