Hickory, N.C. – The Pfeiffer Baseball Team (14-17) took control early on its way to a 14-4 victory over Lenoir-Rhyne (18-13) Tuesday night at Bears Field.
Three players hit home runs for the Falcons – Jordan Eckard (Catfish, N.C.), John Elwood (Indian Trail, N.C.) and Kirby Lambert (Robbins, N.C.) all hit round-trippers – as Pfeiffer raced to an 11-1 lead after five innings of play and never looked back.
Lenoir-Rhyne was led by sophomore designated hitter
Alex Reynolds (Kings Mountain, N.C.) with two runs batted in and sophomore first baseman
Zach Jacobs (Moncks Corner, S.C.) with a RBI triple in the losing effort for the Bears.
