Aiken, S.C. – The Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Soccer Team (2-0) continued its strong start to the season with a 6-0 victory over USC Aiken (1-1) Saturday afternoon at Pacer Pit.
The Bears used tremendous balance on offense as six players scored with three goals in each half. Lenoir-Rhyne sophomore forward
Hannah Van Eerden (Stokesdale, N.C.) finished with a goal and two assists to lead the Bears to the win.

Aqsa Mushtaq (Bradford, ENGLAND) found the back of the net from three yards out at the 15:35 mark of the first half.

Sarah Pullman (San Diego, Calif.) gave the Bears a 2-0 advantage in the 31st minute before Van Eerden rounded out the scoring before intermission with a goal exactly one minute before the break.
Senior goalkeeper
Alayna Morris (Westminster, Md.) played the first half in goal and picked up the win while USC Aiken's goalkeeper, Karin Cadwalder (Hasselby, SWEDEN), suffered the setback despite making six stops.
Lenoir-Rhyne also held a 17-6 advantage in shots taken in notching its second consecutive shutout victory.
Lenoir-Rhyne returns home to face Mount Olive on Wednesday at the Moretz Sports – Athletic Complex beginning at 7:00 p.m. USC Aiken hosts Belmont Abbey Monday at 2:00 p.m.
