Hickory, N.C. – Lenoir-Rhyne (4-2-1) and Lees-McRae (5-2-2) tied one-all after two overtimes in an NCAA Division II non-conference regional men's soccer match Wednesday evening at the Moretz Sports – Athletic Complex.

Ignacio de Goya (Madrid, SPAIN) opened the scoring with his team-leading four goal of the season after receiving a cross from junior forward
Marc Fernandez (Barcelona, SPAIN) – who was credited with the assist – just 2:26 into the contest.
The Bobcats tied the contest in the 34th minute when Pol Vassart (Arnhem, NETHERLANDS) finished off a pass from Nathan Watt (Newcastle, ENGLAND).
The match was scoreless the rest of the way while both goalkeepers – Lees-McRae's Tyler Pavlet (Goodyear, Ariz.) and Lenoir-Rhyne senior
Zach King (Altamonte Springs, Fla.) – allowed just one goal in 110 minutes of action. Pavlet stopped four shots while King tallied eight saves on the evening. Lees-McRae also held a 21-10 advantage in shots taken.
Lenoir-Rhyne jumps back into South Atlantic Conference action on Saturday night against Queens in Charlotte, N.C., beginning at 7:30 p.m. Lees-McRae hosts Southern Wesleyan on Saturday for Homecoming beginning at 4:15 p.m.
