Hickory, N.C. – The Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Basketball Team (8-7, 2-5) lost a South Atlantic Conference game to Catawba (7-6, 5-1), 76-70, Wednesday evening at Shuford Memorial Gymnasium.

STATS OF THE GAME:
• Lenoir-Rhyne junior guard
Kendall Toineeta (Cherokee, N.C.) led all scorers with a career-high 25 points while freshman guard
Kennedy Weigt (Manteno, Ill.) added 14 points and four treys in the setback.
• Catawba, which won its fourth straight league contest, was led by Terri Rogers (Mebane, N.C.) with 17 points and was one of five players to reach double figures for the Indians in the victory.
• The Indians held a 43-27 edge in rebounding and ended the contest on a 7-0 run in the final 3:10 to take the victory.
• Both teams were strong from the free throw line: 14-for-17 for the Indians (82 percent) and 17-of-19 (90 percent) for the Bears.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
• Toineeta continues to lead the league in assists at 6.3 dishes per outing.
• Catawba remains one game behind first-place Carson-Newman in the league standings.
