Hickory, N.C. – The Lenoir-Rhyne Men's Basketball Team (11-15, 9-11) was dealt a 75-55 loss to Queens (26-1, 18-1) Wednesday evening on Senior Day and the regular season finale for the Bears at Shuford Memorial Gymnasium. The Royals are ranked No. 2 in NCAA Division II.

STATS OF THE GAME:
• Lenoir-Rhyne guard
Branford Rogers (Alexandria, Va.) – one of five seniors honored prior to the game – led the way with a season-high 14 points.
• Queens showed balance with four players in double figures – led by Todd Withers (Greensboro, N.C.) with 16 points – and dished out 25 assists as the Royals pulled away in the second half. Queens, winners of 12 straight games, also shot 54 percent (30-of-56) from the field.
• LR couldn't capitalize in the first half on Queens' turnovers. The Royals turned the ball over 11 times but the Bears still trailed by a 33-21 score.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
• Lenoir-Rhyne junior guard
Djibril Diallo (Conakry, GUINEA), the Bears' leading scorer on the year, added 12 points as the Bears were making their first trip to the conference tournament in two seasons.

LR's regular season is finished and will compete in the 2018 South Atlantic Conference Championship beginning with the Quarterfinal Round on Wednesday, February 27, on the road. The seedings will be announced this weekend. Queens will now travel to top-ranked Lincoln Memorial (26-1, 19-0) for a South Atlantic Conference and national showdown on Saturday in Harrogate, Tenn., beginning at 4:00 p.m.
