Hickory, N.C. – The Lenoir-Rhyne Baseball Team (13-6) bounced back with a 9-1 win over Lake Erie (1-6-1) Wednesday afternoon at Bears Field, less than 24 hours after taking a 16-run defeat to No. 11 Belmont Abbey.

STATS OF THE GAME:
• The Bears were led on offense by the duo of junior outfielder
Justin Dean (Mauldin, S.C.) and senior outfielder
Marcus Shoemaker (Colfax, N.C.). Dean finished with three runs scored and four hits while Shoemaker added three hits and three RBI.
• Lenoir-Rhyne, which put the contest away with a five-run sixth inning, finished with 14 hits while junior
Jake Conroy (Binghamton, N.Y.) improved to 2-0 on the year. Conroy pitched five scoreless innings of one-hit ball while striking out five batters.
• Lake Erie's Nathan Erzen (Brookpark, Ohio) drove in The Storm's only run while Brian Bullock (Loveland, Ohio) (0-1) suffered the loss.
