Jefferson City, Tenn. – The Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Basketball Team (15-14) saw its season come to an end with a 75-63 loss to Carson-Newman (27-2) Wednesday night at the Holt Fieldhouse.  The Bears were seeded eighth in the league tournament while Carson-Newman, the SAC Regular Season Champions, was the top seed.  The Eagles are also ranked No. 7 in NCAA Division II.

STATS OF THE GAME:
•    Lenoir-Rhyne was led by junior guard Ashley Rodriguez (Orlando, Fla.) with 14 points and four treys while senior guard Cassidy Joyner (Dobson, N.C.) and junior forward Madi Suddreth (Taylorsville, N.C.) added 13 points each in the losing effort.
•    Carson-Newman's Mika Wester (Newport, Tenn.) led all scorers with 20 points and Kayla Marosites (Elizabethton, Tenn.) added a double-double – 13 points and 12 rebounds – as the Eagles defeated the Bears for the third time this year.
•    The Eagles forced the Bears into 18 turnovers and pulled down 16 offensive rebounds in the win.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
•    Lenoir-Rhyne had its second straight winning season.
•    Suddreth finished the year ranked first on the squad in scoring (14.5) and rebounding (7.1) in addition to a team-leading 23 blocks.
