Hickory, N.C. – The Lenoir-Rhyne Baseball Team (18-9, 7-3) rallied from a four-run deficit to take a 9-6 South Atlantic Conference victory over Mars Hill (5-16-1, 2-8) Friday night at Bears Field.

STATS OF THE GAME:
•    Lenoir-Rhyne senior outfielder Marcus Shoemaker (Colfax, N.C.) broke a six-all tie with the game-winning, two-run home run in the bottom of the seventh inning.
•    Mars Hill's Travis Owens (Toronto, Ontario, CANADA) and Christian Stampler (David, Fla.) both hit home runs but the Lions couldn't hold a 6-2 advantage midway through the fourth frame.
•    Lenoir-Rhyne junior first baseman Alex Reynolds (Kings Mountain, N.C.) and redshirt freshman second baseman Brock Johnson (Granite Falls, N.C.) both finished with three hits and an RBI to lead the Bears' 16-hit attack.
•    On the mound, Lenoir-Rhyne sophomore Nolan Flachofsky (Pfafftown, N.C.) (2-0) earned the win while senior Landon Whitson (Marion, N.C.) struck out the side in the ninth inning for his sixth save of the year.  Mars Hill's Kaleb McCurry (Burnsville, N.C.) fell to 0-3 after taking the loss.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
•    Lenoir-Rhyne has won three straight league games and has rallied from at least a two-run deficit in all three contests.
