Hickory, N.C. – The Lenoir-Rhyne Baseball Team (18-9, 7-3) rallied from a four-run deficit to take a 9-6 South Atlantic Conference victory over Mars Hill (5-16-1, 2-8) Friday night at Bears Field.

• Lenoir-Rhyne senior outfielder
Marcus Shoemaker (Colfax, N.C.) broke a six-all tie with the game-winning, two-run home run in the bottom of the seventh inning.
• Mars Hill's Travis Owens (Toronto, Ontario, CANADA) and Christian Stampler (David, Fla.) both hit home runs but the Lions couldn't hold a 6-2 advantage midway through the fourth frame.
• Lenoir-Rhyne junior first baseman
Alex Reynolds (Kings Mountain, N.C.) and redshirt freshman second baseman
Brock Johnson (Granite Falls, N.C.) both finished with three hits and an RBI to lead the Bears' 16-hit attack.
