No. 11 Rollins Women’s Lacrosse Hands Lenoir-Rhyne Home Setback, 15-6

Hickory, N.C. – The Rollins Women's Lacrosse Team (10-2), ranked No. 11 in NCAA Division II, downed Lenoir-Rhyne (4-7) by a 15-6 score Sunday afternoon at Moretz Stadium.

STATS OF THE GAME:
•    The Tars, winners of nine straight games, were led by Kallie German (Centreville, Md.) and Hannah Ashton (Berwyn, Pa.) with four goals each.
•    Lenoir-Rhyne sophomore attacker Cathleen Gaffney (Allentown, Pa.) paced the Bears with a pair of goals and an assist despite the loss.  Gaffney has a team-leading 19 assists on the season.
•    In goal for the Tars, Malorie Olin (Skaneateles, N.Y.) totaled 12 saves and earned the win.  Lenoir-Rhyne senior All-American goalkeeper Ines Flueck (Coppell, Texas) made nine stops but suffered the loss.
•    Rollins held a 35-23 edge in shots taken.
 
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
•    Lenoir-Rhyne was taken on its fifth nationally-ranked team this season.

UP NEXT:
Lenoir-Rhyne next travels to Mars Hill, N.C., to take on Mars Hill in a South Atlantic Conference game on Wednesday, April 4, at 4:00 p.m., while Rollins hosts Palm Beach Atlantic on Saturday, March 31, at 5:00 p.m., in a Sunshine State Conference contest.
