Greeneville, Tenn. – The Lenoir-Rhyne Men's Tennis Team (11-6, 2-4) lost in a tough South Atlantic Conference battle to Tusculum (13-4, 4-2), 6-3, Friday afternoon at the Nichols Tennis Complex. The Pioneers are ranked No. 38 in NCAA Division II.
Lenoir-Rhyne lost despite victories at first and third singles courtesy of junior
Hamed Gandouz (Hammam Sousse, TUNISIA) and junior
Shane O'Dea (Dublin, IRELAND), respectively, and third doubles thanks to the duo of sophomores
Paul Lenz (Ratingen, GERMANY) and
William Hewett (Wellington, NEW ZEALAND).
Lenoir-Rhyne looks to get back in the win column on Wednesday, April 4, when the Bears travel to Salisbury, N.C., to take on Catawba beginning at 2:00 p.m., while Tusculum hosts league-foe Queens on Saturday morning beginning at 10:00 a.m.
