Hickory, N.C. – The Florida Southern Women's Lacrosse Team (16-1), ranked No. 4 in NCAA Division II, came away with a 17-5 triumph over Lenoir-Rhyne (7-8) Saturday night at Moretz Stadium.

• Florida Southern was led by junior attacker
Aubriana Benedetto (Rochester, N.Y.) – a former Lenoir-Rhyne player – with five goals and an assist as the Mocs jumped out to a 13-2 halftime lead and never looked back.
• Lenoir-Rhyne, winners of three straight games prior to the contest, was led by junior midfielder
Rachel Elmore (White Plains, Md.) with three goals despite the loss.
• Eight players scored for the Mocs, who held a 30-8 advantage in shots taken. Florida Southern's Alanna Zambetti (Gulf Breeze, Fla.) played the first half in goal and earned the win. Lenoir-Rhyne senior All-American goalkeeper
Ines Flueck (Coppell, Texas) made seven saves but suffered the loss.

Gabby Sousa (Delran, N.J.) increased her team-leading totals to 48 goals scored and 58 points. Elmore now has 41 goals on the year.
• Florida Southern is the 2016 NCAA Division II National Champions and the 2017 national runners-up.
