Hickory, N.C. – The Lenoir-Rhyne Baseball Team (27-21, 13-14) split a South Atlantic Conference doubleheader with Coker (18-25, 7-20) on Senior Day Saturday afternoon at Bears Field. The Cobras won the first contest by a 10-3 score while the Bears dominated the nightcap, 17-3, to salvage the split.

STATS OF THE GAME (Game 1):
• Coker took control with an eight-run fourth inning capped off by a bases-clearing double from Thomas Lopez (St. Cloud, Fla.). Lopez finished with two doubles and four runs batted in to lead the Cobras.

Matt Sullivan (Bristol, Va.) fell to 4-5 after taking the loss.
• Coker's Nick Taylor (Cincinnati, Ohio) (3-5) earned the complete game victory. Taylor scattered six hits and struck out three batters.
STATS OF THE GAME (Game 2):
• Lenoir-Rhyne junior catcher
Zack Shoemaker (Colfax, N.C.) hit a grand slam and drove in six runs as the Bears scored the final 16 runs of the contest to salvage the split and snap a four-game losing streak.
• Dean added a two-run home run and junior first baseman

• Coker's Brooks Estrada (Oakland, Fla.) drove in two runs while Michael Devecchio (Bel Air, Md.) fell to 3-6 after taking the loss.
