PEMBROKE, N.C. - The Lenoir-Rhyne Volleyball Team (4-0) continued its hot start to the 2018 campaign with a sweep of Shaw and Fayetteville State on Saturday afternoon.
GAME ONE:

STATS OF THE MATCH:
- The Bears dominated from the start, outhitting Shaw .155 to .066. Angelica Arroyo paced the squad with 11 kills and Madison Asher added six kills and a .500 hitting percentage.
- Freshman Helen Hamilton recorded a double-double with 26 assists and 12 digs and Hannah Houston finished with three service aces.
- Shaw was led by Karla Sosa's nine kills.
GAME TWO:
Final: Lenoir-Rhyne 3, Fayetteville State 0 (25-13, 25-8, 25-14)

STATS OF THE MATCH:
- Fayetteville State had little chance for an upset, topping out at 14 points in the third set. The Broncos posted a -.048 hitting percentage, compared to .300 for the Bears.
- Sophomore Taylor Walton was the leader in kills for LR, finishing with 10 to go with a .500 hitting percentage. A total of 11 players recorded at least one kill in the contest.
- The 4-0 start to the season matches the best start since winning 10 straight in 2009.
