WINGATE, N.C. - The Lenoir-Rhyne volleyball team fell in three sets to preseason South Atlantic Conference favorite Wingate on Thursday evening by the score of 3-0. The game was originally scheduled to take place on Friday evening but was rescheduled due to the upcoming weather conditions.

STATS OF THE MATCH:
- For the second straight match, Hannah Houston led the Bears in kills. The junior finished the game with seven kills and added three blocks and nine digs.
- Sophomore Madison Asher had a strong match for LR, finishing with six kills and a team-high .300 hitting percentage.
- Wingate held a .319 to .064 edge in hitting percentage in the contest and a 62-39 advantage in digs.
- The Bulldogs were led by 10 kills from Hannah Givens.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
- Wingate is on a 10 game winning streak to start the 2018 season. The Bulldogs were picked to finish first in the SAC preseason coaches poll.
- The Bulldogs hit .500 as a team in the first set.
