HARROGATE, TENN. - The Lenoir-Rhyne Men's Basketball Team went cold at Lincoln Memorial, shooting 37.7 percent from the field and 29 percent from long range in a tough 79-68 loss at Lincoln Memorial. The Railsplitters were the SAC favorite heading into the season and went a perfect 20-0 in league play last season but the Bears had chances to be the first SAC road team to beat LMU at home since December 2016.

STATS OF THE GAME:
• The Bears, who shot a season-high 59.2 percent on Wednesday in a win over Coker, were held to a season-low shooting performance. Tonight marks the first time this season that LR was held under 42 percent from the field.

Cory Thomas was the Bears leading scorer on the night, finishing with 14 points on 5-of-10 shooting. Thomas went 2-for-4 from deep and added three rebounds and two assists.
• LMU earned the benefit of the whistle, getting to the line twice as much as the Bears. The Railsplitters went 24-for-35 from the line with LR shooting 13-of-17. Kamaran Calhoun of LMU went 13-for-16 individually from the line, nearly getting as many attempts as the entire LR team.
• Calhoun led all scorers with 21 points and nine rebounds.
• Lincoln Memorial held a 41-32 advantage on the boards which led to a 21-8 edge in second chance points.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
• The Bears trailed by two (30-28) at the break but shot just 12-for-33 in the second half. LMU went 14-of-27 in the final 20 minutes, including 6-of-11 from beyond the arc.

Jon Jean finished with three assists and has recorded three or more dimes in six straight games.
• Lincoln Memorial has won 19 of the last 21 matchups between the two programs.
• With the loss, LR falls a game behind LMU in the SAC standings. Losses by Catawba and Wingate keep the Bears in a three-way tie for third place.
