Wingate, N.C. – The Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Basketball Team traveled to Wingate to take on the Bulldogs in a midweek South Atlantic Conference battle and held the 25-23 lead at the half. Unfortunately, the Bears went ice cold in the second half and fell 59-43 Wednesday night inside Cuddy Arena.

STATS OF THE GAME:
• Eight different players scored for Lenoir-Rhyne with only
Madi Suddreth reaching double figures. Suddreth put up 10 points, six rebounds, three steals and added a couple assists to fill the stat sheet.
• Getting to the line was a difference in the game. While the Bears were a perfect 11-for-11 from the charity stripe, the Bulldogs got to the line more often and converted on 17-of-23 attempts.
• Another key to the game was the third quarter, one that Wingate dominated, 25-6.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
• The Bears dropped to 4-2 on the road and lost three-straight for the first time this season.
• The Lenoir-Rhyne defense has remained a stingy one from the start, and held the Bulldogs to under 60. This marks the seventh game that LR held their opponent to fewer than the 60 points in a game.

The Bears return home for another SAC contest on Saturday, January 12 at 2 p.m. against the Mars Hill Lions inside the friendly confines of Shuford Gymnasium.
