Hickory, N.C. – The Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Tennis Team stayed hot and moved to 4-0 on Friday with wins over Lees-McRae 4-0 and Johnson C. Smith 7-0.
The Bears were led in doubles in both matches by

Lucy Whelan who went 2-0 on the weekend in #1 Doubles.
Sandy Mitsou/
Evelin Menyhart also contributed going 1-1 on the weekend.
The Bears were led by
Gemma Southwick who went 2-0 on the weekend with win over Sandy Allen 6-2,6-1 and Halle Parker 6-3, 6-0.
Ally Garofoli and
Diana Babinets also went undefeated on the weekend only dropping seven sets between the two the whole weekend.
This puts the Bears at 4-0 on the season winning in a dominant fashion.
"Two more solid wins for the ladies," Head Coach
Jesse Tarr said. "We are very proud of our 4-0 start, but we will not be satisfied this is just the beginning of a great journey. We are excited to get back to work."
The Bears will be back in action Oct. 26 against Queens.
