Hickory, N.C.-- In the latest American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Division II Coaches' Top 25 Poll, the Lenoir-Rhyne Bears moved up to No. 7 after a 36-23 defeat of Carson-Newman on Saturday.
The Bears have spent the last eight weeks as the No.8 team in the nation. The win over the Eagles marked 17 straight regular season wins and 12 straight SAC wins. The Bears averaging 46.14 points per game and holding opponents to 15.14 points per game.
The Bears next game will be back in action on the road against Limestone on Saturday at 4 p.m.
