HICKORY, N.C. – In their first home match in nearly a month, the Bears wasted little time dispatching of struggling UVA-Wise with a 3-0 sweep on Friday evening. The loss was the 18th straight for the Cavaliers.

STATS OF THE MATCH:
• The Bears finished with a .286 hitting percentage, which was the third highest total on the season.
Taylor Prall led a balanced attack with eight kills and four other players tallied six kills on the night.

Hannah Houston hit a scorching .667 for the Bears and
Jackie Denny tallied a .556 hitting percentage.
Madison Asher also added six kills in her two sets and two blocks.

Aleksandra Barac registered a career-high six kills to go with a pair of digs and a pair of blocks.

Ashley Hawkins led all players with 17 digs and
Rachel Bewick finished with three aces.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
• The Bears last home game came on Sept. 28, also a 3-0 LR victory.
• LR improves to 5-2 inside Shuford Gym.
• The Bears sweep the season series from UVA-Wise who is in their first year in the South Atlantic Conference.
