STATS OF THE MATCH:
• Carson-Newman ran out to a 25-13 victory in the first set and never looked back. The Bears fought hard in the second set before falling 25-23.

Hannah Houston paced the Bears with eight kills and
Jackie Denny finished with a solid six kills and .667 hitting percentage.
• The Eagles have now won two straight and 10 of their last 11. The only loss was a 3-2 defeat against Anderson.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
• C-N has won five straight head-to-head against LR with the last three coming in straight sets.
• Lenoir-Rhyne drops to a sixth-place tie in the league standings while the Eagles are in sole possession of fourth.
