Hickory, N.C.-- The Lenoir-Rhyne Football Team has announced its weekly award winners for the 36-7 victory over Miles.
Jason Poe was named the Ronnie Lott Heavy Hitter. Poe's presence was felt blocking in the run game helping lead LR to 323 rushing yards on the ground.
The Offensive Player of the Game was awarded to running back
Ameen Stevens. Stevens was bruising and a dominant down-hill runner, accounting for 129 yards rushing and 1 TD on 18 carries.
Trevis Robinson earned the Defensive Player of the Game for his strong defensive efforts. Robinson finished with five tackles, two of which were for loss, and one QB hurry and also accounted for a safety.
Amarrian Brown was also named the Special Teams Player of the Game. Brown finished with one tackle on special teams and a huge block on a punt that led to an immediate return and score by LR.

BJ Ramseur were named the Offensive and Defensive Scout Team Players of the Week.
The Bears will be back Between the Brick in their next game against Carson-Newman on Saturday, November 30 at 2 p.m for the second round of NCAA playoffs.
