No.8 LR Advances to SAC Semifinals With 3-0 Win Over Newberry

Hickory, N.C.-- The No. 8 Women's Soccer downs Newberry 3-0 on Saturday evening to advance to the SAC tournament semifinals.

  • Aqsa Mushtaq opened up scoring in the 4th minute scoring directly off a corner 1-0.
  • Hannah Van Eerden then scored in the 54th minute off an assist from Judith Verdaguer-Sanchez putting the Bears up 2-0.
  • Van Eerden capped things off scoring her second goal of the match off an assist from Mushtaq in the 69th minute.
