Marietta, Ga. – The Lenoir-Rhyne Men's Lacrosse Team traveled to Georgia to take on No. 12 Tampa but lost in non-conference action on Saturday afternoon. Tampa scored four goals in every quarter and had three players record hat tricks.

STATS OF THE GAME:

Eric Dickinson scored all three of his goals in the first half as the Bears trailed 8-6 heading into the break. However, the Spartans came out of the lockerroom hot and held the Bears scoreless in the third quarter.
• The Spartans went on a 7-2 scoring run to take a 15-8 lead in the fourth quarter.
• Lenoir-Rhyne held a 42-35 advantage in shots on the afternoon and a 29-22 lead in shots on goal. However, Tampa dominated in face offs (24-5) and ground balls (42-22).
• The Bears were held scoreless in five attempts with the man advantage in the game, while Tampa converted on two of its five attempts.

Ryan Bell scored a pair of goals and
Weston Bimstefer had three ground balls and a pair of caused turnovers.
• Colin White, Matt Vetter and Jake Mosher McGraw each finished with three goals for the Spartans. Goalie B.J. Borowski made 19 saves to earn the win and Ross Dickerson was credited with 15 ground balls.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
• These two teams met a year ago with LR coming away with a 12-9 victory.
Joe Buduo and Dickinson each had four points in that victory.
• LR has played three ranked teams to start the season, with two (Limestone and Belmont Abbey) currently ranked inside the top five.
• This is LR's first three-game losing streak since dropping four straight to close out the 2013 season.

Lenoir-Rhyne will head back to Georgia to take on Florida Tech in Savannah on Saturday. Faceoff is set for 6 p.m.
